Nitrous Coffee Birthday Giveaway – Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter
The promoter is Nitrous Coffee, 9 Hull Road, Mount Maunganui 3116, New Zealand (“Nitrous Coffee”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
2. Promotion period
The Nitrous Coffee Birthday Giveaway opens at 12:00am on 28 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 28 September 2026. All times are New Zealand time. Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older. Employees of Nitrous Coffee and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. Wholesale, trade and commercial account purchases are excluded.
4. How to enter
Make an eligible retail purchase from Nitrous Coffee in store or online during the promotion period. Each eligible purchase receives:
- one entry for the purchase; plus
- one additional entry for every complete $20 of eligible spend in the same transaction.
For example, an eligible purchase of $1–$19.99 receives one entry, $20–$39.99 receives two entries, and $40–$59.99 receives three entries.
Eligible spend is calculated after discounts and excludes delivery charges and gift cards. Purchases must not be deliberately split into separate transactions to gain extra base entries. There is no additional fee to enter beyond the normal price of the goods purchased.
5. Online purchases
Eligible online purchases are entered automatically using the contact details supplied with the order. No separate entry form is required. Cancelled, fraudulent or fully refunded orders are not eligible. Entries for partially refunded orders may be recalculated using the final eligible spend.
6. In-store purchases
For an in-store purchase to be entered, the customer must provide their name and a valid phone number or email address at the time of purchase so the entry can be recorded and the winner contacted.
7. Prize
There is one prize consisting of:
- one Black Sesame Breville Barista Express espresso machine, model BES870BKS, valued at approximately $599.99; and
- 12 × 250g bags of Nitrous Coffee, valued at $198 in total.
The total approximate retail value of the prize is $797.99. The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If a prize component becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, we may substitute it with an item of equal or greater value.
8. Coffee redemption
The 12 bags of coffee will be supplied as one 250g bag per month for 12 consecutive months. Collection or delivery arrangements will be agreed with the winner. The winner must provide any required grind preference and current New Zealand delivery details.
9. Winner selection
One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries on 29 September 2026. Each valid entry has an equal chance of being drawn.
10. Winner notification and redraw
The winner will be contacted using the phone number or email address recorded with their purchase. The winner must respond within five business days and may be required to confirm their eligibility. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond in time or is found to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and another winner may be drawn at random.
We may announce the winner’s first name and general location. Any additional photo, video or promotional participation will only occur with the winner’s agreement.
11. Verification
Nitrous Coffee may verify a participant’s identity, age, New Zealand residency, purchase, receipt or Shopify order and the validity of any entry. Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated through error, tampered with or otherwise do not comply with these terms may be removed.
12. Prize collection and delivery
The espresso machine may be collected from Nitrous Coffee or delivered to a New Zealand address, as agreed with the winner. Monthly coffee collection or delivery will also be arranged with the winner. The promoter is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or outdated contact or delivery details supplied by the winner.
13. Privacy
Personal information collected for this giveaway will be used to administer entries, verify eligibility, contact the winner and deliver the prize. It will be handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy law and will not be disclosed except as reasonably necessary to run the giveaway or as required by law.
14. Changes or cancellation
If circumstances outside Nitrous Coffee’s reasonable control prevent the giveaway from operating as intended, we may amend, suspend or cancel it to the extent permitted by law. Any material change will be communicated through our website or social media.
15. Liability and New Zealand law
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law. To the extent permitted by law, Nitrous Coffee is not responsible for any loss arising from an entrant’s failure to provide correct contact details or from technical issues outside our reasonable control. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
16. General
Nitrous Coffee’s decisions regarding entry validity and the draw are final, subject to applicable law. This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Breville, Farmers, Facebook or Instagram, and those parties are not responsible for it.
